    Bergamot oil

Bergamot essential oil is made from the hand- or cold-pressed rind of a nearly ripe fruit of the bergamot tree, also known as the Citrus bergamia from the Rutaceae family.

Bergamot essential oil, known for its sweet light orange smell with a hint of floral, has long been a component of perfumes and fragrances. This essential oil is one of the major staple components of the original Eau de Cologne by Farina in 18th century Germany. Aside from being used in fragrances, it is also used to treat skin problems like acne, oily skin, psoriasis and eczema. It has a lot of medicinal benefits including reducing fevers when added to bath water, and treating urinary tract infections, digestive and respiratory diseases, gallstones, diphtheria, colic, bronchitis and halitosis.

Pro tips: To get rid of your varicose veins, apply one drop of bergamot oil to the area twice a day.
