    Borneol is a bicyclic organic compound and a terpene. It is a component of many essential oils, and it is a natural insect repellent.

    Borneol oil is extracted from the Dipterocarpaceae family of lowland rainforest trees species native to Borneo and Sumatra. Borneo oil is also referred to as Borneo camphor, Sumatra camphor and Malayan camphor. This essential oil has been traditionally used for ritual purposes and as a remedy for plague and infectious diseases.

    Borneol oil is effective in treating:
