    Cananga is also a tall, tropical tree which produces flowers almost identical to those of ylang ylang.

    Cananga oil is used as a cheaper substitute for ylang ylang oil since the two have quite similar scents, but the fragrance of cananga oil is just a tad greener and less floral than that of ylang ylang oil. Cananga oil is useful for relieving anxiety, stress, nervous tension, and high blood pressure, and treating oily skin, oily hair, and insect bites. It is also used as a stimulant, sedative, antidepressant and aphrodisiac.
